2 lbs sausage (I like to do 1 lb of spicy and 1 lb of mild)
2 cups Marilyn’s Multi-Purpose Baking Mix
16 oz sharp cheddar cheese or Velveeta (optional)
1 ½ tbsp of Home Appétit Mediterranean Rosemary & Citrus Spice Blend
Sauce for Dipping
Yellow or brown spicy mustard
Preheat oven to 375° before mixing all ingredients together. As you knead ingredients together, a tablespoon or two of water might be necessary to moisten the mix, especially if opting not to use cheese. If Velveeta is being used, cut into cubes and place in microwave safe bowl. Heat in the microwave for 30 second increments to soften before mixing in with other ingredients. Once evenly mixed, form 1” balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Uncooked balls can be frozen and pulled out later. Add 5 minutes to cook time if frozen.
Serve with mustard for dipping and enjoy. Great for breakfast or as an appetizer.
